| My server is using sql server 2000 and in my pc it is sql server 7.0while am trying to connect(register) the server through enter prise manager in my pc, it is showing you have to upgrade to sql2000is there any way to connect server in sql2000 from sql server7.0 enterprise manager without upgrading |

| No. The client tools (Enterprise Manager) must be upgraded to work with a SQL 2000 server, but if you have the CD it is very easy to do. If not, you could download the 120 day evaluation software and install only the client tools, they will not expire. |
