MV writes "Hi,
I need to be able to match and give grade for compliancy. I want to be able to take 2 numbers from adjacent columns on the same row in one table and match to 2 numbers in adjacent columns in the second table. The difficulty it seems is that both table are using separate and unrelating indexes. Furthermore, matching and grading needs to happen for more adjacent numbers, up to 8 numbers in adjacent columns.
Any help would help,
Thanks in advance,
MV"

could you post up the create statements for your tables to show us a little more of what your doing here? I'm sure whatever your wanting is possible.. just hard to give you anything without table/column names
