| Check for sp_columns in BOL .you can also query information_Schema.Column view .HTH-------------------------------------------------------------- |

| Did you tried Information_Schema.Column view. what do you mean by field description? . if you are looking for its datatype length and stuff. Information_schema.column view will help you.-------------------------------------------------------------- |

| Thanks Merkin. You've got it right...I saw the script once here, but I couldn't find it again. That's why I post a message. I will be needing this in creating dynamic reports. Instead of Typing the column description in the program. I'll just get it in the table info. So that whenever I change my fields. I have no problem assigning its description in the program..thanks again. |
