| The general consensus is to discourage saving files in SQL tables. It's better to save the files in a directory on the OS and have a column in your table that holds the file name and path. If you really need to store it in the DB, you'll need to use a BLOB field (binary large object) field such as image. You can save any sort of data in these up to about 2GB. |
