After that i see then average % disk read time = 0.8% and average % disk write time = 8%. There is 10 more times write than read !!!! So must i set fillfactor in sqlserver 7.0 to 10 % !!!!??????It's very curious because my application is more a DSS than OLTP !What advise for my fillfactor !???thanks for all (sorry for poor english ! ;) )Nico |

| MS recommends you keep a high fillfactor for Analysis Servicesand low fillfactor for OLTP.if its a pure Analysis server a fillfactore of 0 or 100 is recommendedfor a mixed the recommendation ranges from 1 to 99. as yours is more of DSS , you can try with higher end values like 50 to 90( cant xactly advice on this one , it all depends on the volume and kind of OLTP activity your system does).HTH--------------------------------------------------------------Edited by - Nazim on 03/02/2002 03:57:54Edited by - Nazim on 03/02/2002 04:05:15 |
