How do Design a Db for multi level marketing in which we need to store each transaction of comission, from lower level to higher level.
e.g. There is a chain from A-z, then the commision is coming from z to his higher level up to A. and we need to store the commission received by every party involved as a trancastion into the D/B.Please help

I got an idea...

I'll create a schema with one table, and then mail it to 10 friends. Every one of them will add one more table, put their name on the list, and send it to 10 more coders.

Voila! In a month I will have not one, but literally hundreds of database schemas for managing Multi-level marketing companies. Cheap!

Do not forget to add this trigger on the transaction table

CREATE TRIGGER trgTwit ON tblTransaction
FOR INSERT

I have a better suggestion: try working for another group of people who have a higher standing in society. Like drug dealers. Or child molesters.

Yeah. Plus, unlike MLMs, drug dealers will probably pay you.

freakonomics says drug dealing is very similar to MLM actually, for the leaves anyway. it's only the kingpins that get rich.

the leaves in the org are out there risking their lives selling crack for less than minimum wage, and at the end of the day they still live with their moms... poor ol' drug dealers.
