Epi writes "I have a VB6 application that uses DAO controls(not my choice) to bind data from an sqlserver database using ODBC. But when I update or addnew values I get the "Cannot update . Database or object is read-only" error. Is this an ODBC thing or an SQL Server thing? Is there a setting or a value in the connection string that would allow for updates to the database? Or are there any updates I should install to odbc/mdac/sqlserver?
Thanks"

Make sure the recordset you are binding to is not defined as read-only.
