Dear all
I have got a table loaded with a lot of text into the database properly.
but when i execute a select command it does not pick the entire text.
Most of it is truncated.
Can any one helpme in this regard.

It's probably the client that is doing the truncation.
It will be client dependent - if it's in query analyser then you have to set the character limit for the result - max 8000.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

Assuming you are using Query Analyzer, go to Tools-->Options menu. Click results tab and change the value for 'Maximum Characters per Column'.
