kay writes "We have an application developed in Visual Basic 6 which uses SQL Server 2000 and is running at many locations. In one of the sites, they have currently started facing this problem:When they are running a process which involves a lot of background processing, involving inserting records, the following error appears: Run-time Error '-2147467259 (80004005)'; [Microsoft][ODBC Sql Server Driver][Named Pipes]ConnectionRead.(WrapperRead()).What could be the problem? Please help resolve this.Thanks.Kay"

In most cases, even though it doesn't appear to be, posts on this subject seem to conclude it is realated to memory. Steps to resolve1. Apply latest Servicepacks/Updates2. Do some DB maintenance - just do a search on optimizing SQL 3. Try again to see if issue is resolved4. If issue still exists try to run the queries directly on the server to see if a error is produced.5. If no error is produced locally then try to run the application from a clean installed version of W2k or WXP Pro.If none of this works I'm out of ideas..

Kay,A Google search on "[Named Pipes]ConnectionRead.(WrapperRead())" (without the quotes) returned a few results that may help.Ken
