Is there a way to select from one server to another if you have the IP address of the other server, but not the name.IESelect a.columna,a.columnb,b.columnbfrom table1 a innerjoin myServer.myDB.dbo.table2 b ona.columna = b.columnaInstead of the myServer I have an IP addressSelect a.columna,a.columnb,b.columnbfrom table1 a innerjoin 10.129.254.13.myDB.dbo.table2 b ona.columna = b.columna

Thanks for the suggestion Srinika, but I can connect directly to the ip address in QA and EM. What I'm really trying to do is an insert into the named servers tbl from same tbl on the server that I only have the IP address for. I'm just really trying to sync up the development tbl with production.

No no you're right. The first one worked like a charm. I read it wrong, I do that on Fridays. I was able to assign it an alias.
