| Hey guysI am just curious to know if there is a performance knock (Im assuming there is) on retrieving data from one DB to another.ie. SELECT [ID] FROM [Database2].[dbo].[MyTable] where we are currently calling from [Database1].Also noted is that the physical DB files are located on the same HD (raided/single drive).Thanks In Advance...JWARNING: Running on cold coffee! |

| Not a lot - it has to check permissions but that's about it.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
