| Roger writes "We have a scenario where a third party product is inserting records into our database but is clearly off by 4/5 hours (we are Eastern Standard Time and depends on daylight savings time). It happens also with our Live Communication Server as well. However, if I look at the records inserted by my Windows\Web applications (they use getdate() in stored procedures), they are correct. Is this a server, datbase, application problem?Any help or guidance would be appreciated." |

it's application problem. My guess is that the apps are using Now() which is based on regional settings of the computer.GetDate is based on regional settings of the SQL server.also read this:http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/mladenp/archive/2006/05/21/9926.aspxGo with the flow & have fun!
