| Hi, I have lots of word documents with telugu (Indian Language) text. How can I store the contents of the word document ( formatting is not important) into a column of type ntext in SQL2005 |

| You would have to convert the word document to text first. You could store it as a word document in an imnage datatype though. Why do you want to store it in the database?==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| There is a very specific business requirement that needs all the text be in an database. I have a winform application that is going to read the word document but I am not sure about how I am supposed to maintain the character encoding while inserting the data into the sqlserver2005 DB. |

| Other alternate is to store only the physical path of the files in the column and store files in the server. Then in your front end application you can show them.
