| Santi Das writes "I have a database in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and I would like to pull data from some of the fields which exist in a table into another table which is in a second database in SQL Server. I would like to know how we could do it across two different databases. I can do that using triggers within the same databse but I just am not able to do it across two databases. Any help will be really appreciated! Thanks" |

| Your user will need permission on the other database. To access the tabledbname.owner.tblname.You can then use this just like a table in your current database.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
