Hi Friends,
I have two sqlservers,
One is on 20.144 and other one is on 20.41
I need to access some data from 20.41 to 20.144
And do some changes to it and update 20.144 with modified data.
How can I achive this in SQL Server ?
I have some idea with oracle like create a dblink
to access data between two diff servers.
Do we have any thing here ?

You can use linked servers. Check them out in SQL Server Books Online for more details. Once the linked server has been setup, you refer to the remote object using its four part naming convention:

SELECT ...
FROM ...
INNER JOIN LinkedServerName.DatabaseName.ObjectOwner.ObjectName
ON ...
