Is there a way to change the character encoding (on the fly) of your results when you run a query? Example: from unicode to iso-8859-1.

look at the collate and collation keywords in BOL = Books Online = SQL server help.

What's to change? All the Unicode characters that are represented in iso-8859-1 have the same codepoint in both.
