Hi Team,

I would like know if using a stored procedure to show the counts for a table/column in ASP page is faster than building a dynamic SQL Query.

I have created 2 pages where I am building dynamic SQL queries and in the other I am executing the stored procedure. Both show the counts from a given table. I found out that page with stored procedures executes around 10-12 seconds faster than the other page.

Is there any way I can improve the performance?

Hoping for answer.

Thanks,"

Stored procedures will usually be faster, but it depends on what you are doing. You've already seen that the stored procedure is 10-12 seconds faster, so I'm not sure why you don't believe it.
