I'm using a view to retrieve certain data used in a mail merge. After the mailmerge has been sent, I want to register the recipients to make sure they do not receive the same mailmerge when the merge functionality is started up in the future. Is it possible to perform an insert automatically as soon as the view is called/retrieved. Other solutions are of course also appreciated.

Can you do it from a stored procedure rather than a view - that would solve this problem.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.

It's a word mailmerge. As far as I can tell it is only possible to retrieve data from views and tables. Or is this not what you mean.
