Hi All,

I have a table that has 20 columns and maybe 6 of those columns are used in query searches. I use a auto-incrementing integer-based column for my primary key.

But my question is, "Is it better to create an index for each one of the other 6 columns or to create one index for all 6 columns?"

TIA,
Michael

It depends. We would need to see the CREATE TABLE statement for your table plus the queries that do the searches.
