Hi,

Is it possible to run a SELECT in SQL Server as another user (provisind uid and pwd) than the one you are logged in as?

what's provisind?

if you mean different nt login id, then yes

or you mean after logging into sql server? then no

sorry, provisind = providing

for example, i am logged in to sql server in query analyzer as user A, and i want to run a SELECT as user B, is that possible?

like changing database connection? no, i don't think so...

when you're connected, you're connected as the user who establishes the connection (this sounds like Kristen's Test thread ) unless you disconnect from that connection or open another connection in a separate QA instance
