Active DirectoryHow does sqlserver knows to wich active directory groups a user belongs.The solution should compare a groupname with the groupnames of the current user and return a bit.This way a single bit can tell if the current user belongs to a predefined group. |

| There is an extended stored procedure you could use to return a logins groups:exec master.dbo.xp_logininfo @acctname = 'aausa\carl.federl' , @option = 'all' Alternatively, LDAP can be defined as a linked server although this is usually to Active Directory.Carl Federl |
