i'm fine tuning my scripts so instead of 1 big script, i've broken it down to 4. my question is how do i execute this 4 script so it runs all at the same time (parallel) instead of sequential. here's an example:

update table1
set column1 = 'a'

update table2
set column1 = 'b'

update table3
set column1 = 'c'

update table4
set column1 = 'd'

if u just run this from the sql analyzer, are these going to run in parallel? or should i create a stored procedure?

thanks!!

You can open 4 QA Windows arrange them and execute them, although they won't all kick off at the same time, or you can put the scripts in to 4 jobs and set them to kick off at the same time...you will just need to make sure you redirect out put to a file or a table so you can see the results...

Why do you want to run them simultaneously?
