Hi

When I open a query analyzer window and I type use finance_db(lower case) I get the following error:

"Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'finance_db'. No entry found with that name. Make sure that the name is entered correctly."

It is in the sysdatabases as FINANCE_DB.So there is some kind of case sensitivity going on .I applied SQL 2000 SP4 last night and this must have changed a setting.

Any advice?

So ... if you type use FINANCE_DB it works? And it used to work OK with lower case?

Its a bit scary if SP4 did this to you! so perhaps its something else.

Do you have a case sensitive server anyway, and "finance_db" used to be in lower case and something has now changed that to upper case in sysdatabases?

False alarm -- the database in question has always been case sensitive I have just found out.It is running great plains as has always been like that.So it wasnt sp4 after all

Sorry about that
