Hi everyone

I need to perform a date modification
in the SQL prior to returning the
value to the user.

I need to convert from long date format
to the short date format.

but i need to do it inline...

please advise

In your Front end Application or Reports you can do this formation
Otherwise use Convert function

Select Convert(varchar,Getdate(),101)
