| Hi all,when i run OSQL -L command in DOS prompt it displays SQL server installations in my LAN but when i execute exec xp_cmdshell 'OSQL -L' it displays only few SQL server installations..what is the reason behind this difference..Magesh |

| 1 is run from directly your client1 is called from your client via QA, but actually executed on the server itself....and possibly it (the server) doesn't 'see' the other servers. |
