This issue is something different.Since we don't have access to import and export information in the production environment for reporting. We found a way by using linked tables in access where I combine all the tables from different server into one single database in the access. In my local machine i created 3 dsn connections as shown below in the website..
http://support.easystreet.com/hosting/win2k/sql.htm

Now I created queries out of the linked tables i have created in the access and saved it as report_query where if i run this query i will get the information needed for my report.

now the issue comes where I need to setup this query to insert the resultset into a table at a specific time in the night so that morning i will get the information needed from that table. Now to introduce a scheduler the issue is when i click on the query its asking for passowrd because each time it goes through the ODBC connection the passowrd is asked.how can I make that passowrd to be saved there so that the password is not prompted and I will be able schedule by query in access through Vb script.

On point 5 where you have to select SQL authentication you need to put your login name and password into the boxes at the bottom of the wizard these should then be remembered

I have option of SQL authentication and when I put the user name and passowrd it works fine and when I close the DSN and open it again the I will have re-enter the password again. So is there any way I can store in the registry or someother place so that I don't have re-enter it everytime I use the ODBC connection.

Sounds to me like a problem with the DSN itself - there are three types. You could try a User DSN if its just you who will be using it or a file DSN otherwise though I don't think that saves the password in the dsn file
