| Hi,I have a loop that creates a string to be used later to create a ##-temporary table with a variable number of columns. The string variable @String varchar(4000) is concatenated with a new column definiton each round. However, @String never gets longer that 256 characters although the loop seems to work fine and there is no error messages given. Does someone know the reason for this? |

Is this in QA?The default maximum characters per column is 256 - display purposes only. Thats why it works but the @string seems concatenated. You can change this by going to Tools >> Options >> Results tabIf this isnt the case then can you give more detailAndyBeauty is in the eyes of the beerholder |
