| Is there a way to set the start number for the identity field in SQL? I have a stored procedure that handles all the input and auto incriments the identity field. I tried to go into the chart and manually do it but it wouldn't let me.Any ideas?Jack of all trades, Master of none! |

| Have a look for DBCC CHECKIDENT in BoL(This example forces the current identity value in the jobs table to a value of 30.USE pubsGODBCC CHECKIDENT (jobs, RESEED, 30)GO) |
