i'd have to say that denortmalization can be usefull when needed. those scenarios are rare but they can happen.i once worked on an app that proved haveing denormalized table was acctually easier and quicker than having it properly normalized. it was of those apps for the government where the app wouldn't change if the law wouldn't change. and if the law changed then the app would become obsolete so it didn't matter Go with the flow & have fun! Else fight the flow
