Could anyone recommend an SQL Analyzer that I can download? I work with SQL Server 2000.

Thanks!

Ummmm, there's always....Query Analyzer. And you don't have to download it.

Uh, Rob, I'm at home with Windows 98....no remote access to the server at work....but I want to test ideas. That's why I asked. Ummmm...so in the world of free/fee-for downloads, could you, being the expert you are recommend one?

Thanks!

It appears that I require a server prior to using this tool I downloaded. Hmmmm. All I wanted was a Query Analyzer. Any way around this apparent obstacle?

??? Download MSDE. It's free!!!!

You could also pay $49.00 and get the Developers Edition of SQL Server. It has everything with it. You can use it at work. I bet you could even get your work to expense it.

Or... you could use 2 instances of notepad. In the top instance, write the code you want to execute. In the bottom instance, write out the results you expect. You won't get the color coding but as long as you're pretending you have a server, you could also pretend your version is only 6.5.

Sorry Xerxes, I'm just trying to get my post count up :)

RTFM has a younger relative; STFW, if someone says STFW, search the web and find your answer because that someone is probably right .

(if you need to know what STFW is.... STFW)
