I thought it would affect the amount of space used by indexes, but the following output of sp_spaceused is the same regardless of the fillfactor setting. would appreciate help. drop table yak create table yak (ID integer not null) create unique index ix on yak (id) with fillfactor = 1 exec sp_spaceused 'YAK' name rows reserved data index_size unused -------------------- ----------- ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ yak 0 32 KB 8 KB 24 KB 0 KB ---------------------------------- the smiley needs more exposure
