Hi all, I'm trying to install MSDE in silent mode and without using a .ini file (on a machine with windows 2000 server and SQL 2000 already insatalled). At the end of the installation, the machine reboot automatically, but I need to stop this reboot.Someone can help me?Thanks all |

You can't stop a reboot and expect the application to work. If an installation needs a reboot, you have to perform the reboot for it to work.Tara |

thank you Tara, the fact is that I want to stop the "automatic" reboot to register some information on the machine and then reboot it... |

You'll probably have to work with Microsoft to get them to change their installation scripts. Doubt you'll be able to though.Tara |
