Hi there,Windows 2000 and SQL 7.0 sp4I recently had a server crash and had to rebuild. One DTS package wasnt backed up and needs to be recreated. Is it possible to get the package back from one of the backed up system databases?thanks - matt

They live in sysdtspackages in the MSDB database. It is possible, I had to do it recently. I had the mdf and ldf from the old database server, I attached the files under a different name on the new box and inserted the rows from the old database to the new one.Damian

If he has a backup, he just needs to restore the msdb database on the new server. That will restore both his jobs and DTS packages.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA.
