When ever I try to use DTS to transfer a db to my web host I receive this error.Backup Log Permission DeniedBackup Log is terminating abnormallyNow I spoke to the host and had my login credentials amended so I was a backup operator. This resulted in more permission specific errors. Is there an alternative way to transfer a database with all elements in tact to a remote server with all defaults, triggers, indexing, sps, keys, seeds etc.The only perms I have on my account are: db_datareaderdb_datawriterdb_ddladminI really do not want to have recreate this by hand which is what I have done in the past.Help as always is greatly appreciated.

They won't provide db_owner to an individual database - they say it comprimises security to all other db's on the server - which it won't if the perms are configured correctly.I will investigate alternatives.

I'd say switch hosts then. They obviously don't understand SQL Server security.Tara

I am using www.123hostnow.com. They set you up be default as the db_owner. If your webhost looses enough people, they will learn or go out of business.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA.
