We have full text indexing setup to speed up name searches on our servers. One issue came across recently. If the user uses a "noise" plus a regular word in the search, and we append a * to the end of the string, no results will be returned.

"A Big Beer*" won't return anything
"A Big Beer" will return expected resultset
"Big Beer*" will return expected resultset.

I can reproduce this problem pretty easily, just not sure why the presence of the noise word and the wildcard would cause the result set to fizzle?

Any thoughts?
