Background:

I'm debugging a multilingual site which caters online ordering system of medicines. Our problem is that when a user searches for a particular item using the middle part of the medicine words no match was found esp. for different characters (like korean, chinese)
ex:
this is the medicine's name ¾Ë·¹±×¶ó; when user searches using the last two words there is a match, also for the first two characters, but using the middle words doesn't give any results.

Is there any problem with Full-Text Catalog search... We only encounter this error using this method.. is there any %item% method in FTC? so that I can search using the middle word only...

Here is an excerpt from our sp:

-------------------
--FULL TEXT CATALOG
-------------------
AND (CONTAINS(I.*, @vchFTCString)
OR CONTAINS(B.*, @vchFTCString)
OR CONTAINS(IL.*, @vchFTCString)
OR CONTAINS(TSC.*, @vchFTCString)
OR CONTAINS(TC.*, @vchFTCString))
---------------------------------------------------------
