Author  Topic  taranah Starting Member 1 Post Posted - 2004-12-14 : 04:19:34 For type 2 SCD, we are supposed to set attribute types of corresponding database columns to SCDOriginalID , SCDStartDate, SCDEndDate and SCDStatus. Id this just for documentation? Or does Analysis Services actually use this information to manage changind dimensions? If so, how? Once a dimension current status is set to "false", will AS not allow it to be used against a new fact row? I have tried playing aound with data, but these attribute types don't seem to be doing abything special..... thanks
