| Hi there,I am trying to set up SQL server Agent in conjunction with SQL Mail to organise some automatic email alerts. The problem is that when I go to SQL server Agent Properties and click on the General Tab, the account that I used to set up SQL Mail will not be accepted. Also (on the same window of General) the Mail Session does not have a TEST button next to the Mail Profile, which is a bit wierd?? The only difference between this SQL 7.0 server and the production SQL 7.0 server is that this one was upgraded form SQL 6.5 - but that shouldnt really make a difference should it?I have been going through the tutorial at:http://www.mssqlserver.com/articles/sqlagent_p1.aspgreat tutorial but I really need something that will show me the best way to set up the NT accounts for both SQL mail and SQL Server Agent. If any one has been through this I would appreciate your wisdom!thanks - Matt |
