I have managed to migrate my sql 2000 databases to sql 2005 today, the release date of sql 2008 lol

Launch day is just the marketing day for your area. The product doesn't actually "launch" until later this year as Mladen mentioned.

I notice how a lot of the "new" features some of us may already have thanks to the great team and tools available at redgate :)
