Dear All,
Mr.X has three houses. the rent for each house is 25$. the three people in the house paid the rent. But, for this perticular month, because of less power bill and less water bill, brett, Mr.X has decided to give them back 1$ each.

then he called his assistant and gave him 5$ to return them one dollor each and told him to keep the rest of 2$ with him as his sal.
he did that.
now......
the rent payed by them is 24$+24$+24$ = 72 $.
the sal for the assistant is 2$.
this means total 74$.
what about that 1$?

kiristen, peso, spirit1,dinakar,madhi,rockmoose,michel jones,robvolk,x002548,nr,don at work, eyechart, pootle,kh and other experts....
any one of you has taken that???????????????????????

tell me.....

i think spirit has taken that....he has 1 in his name.....

You can't give back what is not yours.

It is not landlord giving assistant 2 dollar as sal, it is the three people.

1) 3 people giving $25 is $75.
2) Landlord gives $5 back to people.
3) Three people keep $1 each, and gives remaining $2 to assistant.

People1 gave $25 and was refunded $1, which is $24.
People2 gave $25 and was refunded $1, which is $24.
People3 gave $25 and was refunded $1, which is $24.
---------------------------------------------------
3 75 3 72

From the $75 landlord refunded $5, which for him is $70.
The difference of $70 and $72 went to assistant, who received $2.

No, he collected $75 and gave away $5.
The three people kept $1 each as refund (now only paying $24 for rent) and gave remaining $2 to assistant.

Yes, you are right!
Physically the assistant took the $5 in his hand to give to the three people, which in their turn kept $3 of them, and let the assistant keep the $2 in his hand.

You are so correct!
