I updated the main site today. The only change to the weblogs and forums was a new header. Please report anything that looks odd or any broken links on the site. Especially any broken links!

Problems I know about:
- The headers don't exactly line up across the blogs, forums, jobs and main site. I'm working on that.
- The second line of the header is centered in some cases.

I'm getting the grey-backgroudn thingie on the Logo in the Forums. (the image is http://www.sqlteam.com/images2/SqlTeamHDR2.png). But I'm not getting any ActiveX type warning.

I'm getting the menu split onto two lines justified Left and Right respectively. Its quite cool actually! but may not be what you are intending .

Its OK on the Home Page, I have only seen it on the Forums, and it cuts in even when there is plenty enough space available to display the menu on a single line.

I'll send you a screen-grab

There's an unbalanced </DIV> tag - just after the </NOSCRIPT> tag, but I dunno if that is causing the problem.

http://validator.w3.org/ isn't very keen on the HTML I'm afraid

The grey background is fixed. The original change didn't make it up to the new site.

I think the menu is correct. I'll wait to see the screen grab though.

Yes, I'm still working on the HTML.

Where are the you seeing the unbalanced DIV tag? Can you email some of the HTML around it?

when I click on the "weblogs" link in the menu bar, I get a popup dialog in Firefox 2.0 that asks me to login. when I click cancel it forwards me on to the blogs page anyway (this page: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com)

also the menu bar seems messed up on http://weblogs.sqlteam.com. it's not consistent with the rest of the site - no dark blue background, etc. perhaps the path to your css file is wrong on this page?

I was working on the menu bar the entire day. What a mess! I think they are all consistent now -- except for the newsletter. Can you email me a screen print of the login message if it happens again? graz at this domain name.

I get the JavaScript error in IE6

"It is fine on my Firefox & IE"

You may have JavaScript Error Checking turned off in IE? (In which case you will get a little yellow Icon in the Status bar, bottom left, instead ...)

Although it says error in line 707, and there is almost no Javascript at all on the page, so its either the Google stuff (which I doubt) or an Advert has a JavaScript error (more likely, I get that all the time).

It may also be that the Advert has some crappy Flash Detection JS which is breaking. Flash is disabled here, and I get a lot of JS errors where the JS attempts to detect the Flash version but doesn't allow for the fact that Flash is disabled by default!

The JavaScript error came through one of the blog posts. A function that's defined in the blog isn't defined when that post appears on the homepage. The author is looking into it.

It may be my laptop, or the network, but does it seem that the pages take longer to load?

Yeah, I'm noticing that too. It's definitely something I'll work on. The previous pages had 7 years of optimizations built in. These pages have maybe 1 day of optimizations.

Yeah, but 7 years more experience ought to count for something!
