Is there a true load balance functionality like Oracle RAC in sql server 2005.. If not, what would be the closest one?

is a federated cluster in sql server 2005 similar to RAC?

Has anyone tried to configure the federated cluster in sql server 2005 ? how difficult is it?

No

No

I have never heard of anyone using it, except in a Microsoft TPC benchmark. I would avoid it.
