| But I thought SPAM means either any unwanted messages promoting some commercial product or just a junk mail.But the poster posted link to some SQL related question-answers (although it contained advertisements). | Yeah, that was the crux of the decision. If he had posted a link to a specific article that solved the users problem and included a reference to a commercial product I would be fine with it. He posted a link to an index page that listed hundreds of articles. And he did it in the FAQ thread not in a thread where a user asked a question."although it contained advertisements" -- The site didn't contain advertisements -- the site was an advertisement.
