I just think that after he posted my quote, he has been unable to find anything to top it for "errors that anybody with basic knowledge and understanding of data fundamentals in general, and the relational model in particular should be able to identify."...oh, wait. I was just at the top of the 2005 list! I appear to be running out of time to make the 2006 rogues gallery. |

I can't help being amazed by people, who are so much smarter than almost anyone else in one field, is lacking an even greater amount of knowledge on others ... worse layout is rare to come by ... not even trying would have been an improvement.-- If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a day; if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them for a lifetime. |

I have met Fabian Pascal. He was a guest speaker at a local database users group. This was about 2 years ago. He was a nice enough guy in person, but he was VERY opinionated about how things should work in an RDBMS. Reading over his site, however, it seems he can be a real asshat by taking quotes out of context to make the author of said quote to look foolish.[Signature]For fast help, follow this link:http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/brettk/archive/2005/05/25.aspxLearn SQLhttp://www.sql-tutorial.net/ http://www.firstsql.com/tutor.htm http://www.w3schools.com/sql/default.asp |

I wonder if that means that everyone assumes that anything I say on this web site is the absolute truth, in the absence of a disclaimer.CODO ERGO SUM |

We would never expect anything less from you Dr. Date-- If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a day; if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them for a lifetime. |
