Perfect example of "Ooops. The question I asked first is not what I want. This new thingy I post is maybe what I want"...

I think he is a freeloader and don't really want to understand the solution, just have it done so he can keep his job.

Yes. There will be beer in this weekend for me.

Perfect example of a twit, yes
I was just surprised that it wasn't gongxia (however you spell it) that got it with both barrels.

Because he is vb programmer and new to sql, he didnt understand it fully. Thats why sometimes I answer "Refer this", "refer that" (TG knows very well this ) to these type of questions from newbies.

Peso, I think you need a break

I am not surprised it's not gongxia, I could have identified his example from 10 miles away. Something like this:

FactoryID FactoryJob
-------------------------------------
Apple apple rd n
Apple apple rd e
orange orange camel s
orange orange s
banana banana rd w
banana banana wt e

and his question would be:

How can I extract 'apple, orange, banana' from FactoryJob field?

We also have handymen at home to put up wallpaper and paint our apartment...

Would that not be

1) What is the distance between "n" and "e" in miles?
2) If I knocked her up in "n" will the baby be due on "e"?

Almost.
We found a excellent house for two weeks ago and put a bid on it.
Then we heard nothing from the house broker until we phoned her and she telled us the house was sold to someone else. She did not even tell us about the other bidder!

Now we have our eyes set on a new house. Will look at it tomorrow. Have some issues with the foundation, but it is relatively easy to fix. Must negiotiate with house broker and seller about price...

Oh brother...sorry to hear that!

Hope you will find out even much more better house tommorrow.

Finding a good house is real pain these days, (at least here in Bombay for sure) !

Something happens to people that are raised to the height of religious icon. The pressure is just too great. It won't be long before "Saint Peter" will be sodomizing the ALTER table BOYS.

Totally joking, Peter. That guy deserved whatever he got. I hate the "evolving question" posters as well as the non-thinking followups.

Peter, here in the states there is a GMC (I think) commercial on TV during NFL (National Football League) games. It shows NFL players making awesome catches and hard hitting tackles and the like. It then compares them to GMC trucks (or maybe it is Chevy ... I don't remember, but it doesn't matter ... I drive a Nissan truck and can pull those junk American trucks down the highway sideways at 60 mph!). The narrator says, "Amateurs work until they get it right. Professionals work until they can't get it wrong." So often I feel like putting that quote in my responses ... maybe it should be in my sig.

Excellent quote! Thumbs up.

I think that apply to almost every 1K+ poster here at sqlteam. Many put in some beautiful code to "cover all bases" (can't get it wrong) according to original post.

Too bad it is too long for a title...

If a twit asks a question, and keeps changing the question, will anybody care?
(think the tree in the forest question).
