It's observed that 90% of them have supreme logic/math abilities.
It's a pain for them to say, e.g.: I'm going to... <...>
(notion of "I", "me" is a tough thing for them)
But abstract notions like "sum", "triangle" and so on are the easiest things for them to understand.
Btw, I (being by no means an autist

) noticed that speaking even in my native language (Ru)
it's a pain for me. I have to construct/visualize phrases before speaking them. And then I clearly
realize the affectation of my speech. Exactly this way autistic children speak. As if their native
language is foreign for them.

it is not true that 90% of people with autism have supreme math/logic abilities. Not sure where you got that figure. I think you are thinking of someone who is an autistic savant. Less then 10% of the people with autism are considered autistic savants.

Of course, "90%" is my wheeze.

In the article (from soviet pop science monthly magazine "Knowledge is Power" (of ~1990))
never mentioned any percentages.

where does one draw the line...

Maybe 90% are not noticeably autistic.
