Hi Gurus
Sorry to rake up this issue again.we repaired this master by dbcc checkdb and now it is fine.What is this going on?do i have the chance that this willstillgodown as mentioned by paul .

Did you have to use one of the WITH-DATA-LOSS options?

Because if so do you know what data was lost and what effect that's likely to have?

Well I think you should be concerned about data loss in the MASTER database. It may have wiped out something critical which will then mean you have no way of knowing why strange things are happening from now onwards!

If the problem is due to hardware (which Paul Randall already told you he is 99% certain that it is), then your database is just going to become corrupt again. Paul works for Microsoft in the SQL Server team, so you should take his advice.

Are you working on the assumption that all the databases on your server are hosed?
