Somebody please tell me what to do quote: Pending Reboot Files Found A previous program installation caused related pending file operations. The patch installation will succeed even if your computer is not rebooted. Do you want to proceed? Yes. No.
So, SP1 is good to go without a reboot, but there are pending reboot files found?I think I oughta reboot first. |

I'd suggest a reboot. Even if the patch installation works without it, that doesn't mean that you won't see unexpected results when you run anything that accesses these files.Tara Kizeraka tduggan |

I wasn't aware of any outstanding pending reboot files, and I was concerned that these mystery files might mess with the SP1 upgrade. What I wanted to do at this point was reboot before installing SP1 to avoid this warning.I read that the install would roll back, but instead, it skips the component when "No" is selected. In this case, it was the DB engine itself! I would guess rebooting at this point would result in a broken 2005 installation.Running SP1 again (without rebooting) installed the DB update, and all the others again. No problems found after reboot.Seems to be fine. |
