I have heard that the database mirroring support was removed from SQL2K5 RTM and that it will be available with the release of SP1. Is that correct? When can we expect SP1?-ec |

Database mirroring is one of the key features that could push up to upgrade from SQL 2000 EE to some version of SQL 2005.Michael<Yoda>Use the Search page you must. Find the answer you will. Yes, support for production use was not included in RTM (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;907741 for more details). We were concerned that the feature had not had wide enough production testing by customers and so we've been concentrating on that.We haven't made a public statement yet about SP1 timing or whether DBM will be included. Personally I'm hopeful that it will be made generally available in SP1.ThanksPaul RandalLead Program Manager, Microsoft SQL Server Storage Engine + SQL Express(Legalese: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.) |
