hey guys.

well we got some new IT laws here and i'm wondering what are similar laws in the USA, UK, etc...

basicly i'd like to know:
what happens if you hack someone's site and get access to all their db stuff, data and all? what are consequences? penalties?
also what happens it you hack it from a company? is that considered a corporate espionage?

so i'd like to know the legal side of it so i can see if ours is ok or not.

I think in the UK you can be prosecuted for stealing electricity. Not sure we've got much beyond that yet

Don't say that you'll be giving people ideas. They'll be charging us for the electricity we use at work next

It will be in the news any day now:

"SQL Team becomes subscription service to pay for the electricity users waste by posting numpty questions"
